Kisschasy is an all Aussie rock band that has continuously impressed fans since they formed, in Melbourne in 2002. The band is made up of Darren Cordeux - lead vocals, Joel Vanderuit - bassist, Sean Thomas - guitarist and Karl Ammitzboll - drummer. Their new album Hymns for the Nonbeliever is a album that hooks you in as you listen to their incredible talent and catchy songs. They have really come along way and even live they sound great.

As the name suggests, Hymns for the Nonbeliever, looks beyond one person and tries to uproot fundamental beliefs or ideas in a world where questioning the norm is increasingly acceptable.
Kisschasy choose a direction of more rock type tracks such as 'Strings And Drums' and relaxing timepiece 'Ugly Birds in a Beautiful Cage'. Songs like these really give a bigger sound and hard hitting impact to the listener Kisschasy's adventurous turnaround from the pop type motives of earlier work implies that the band are hoping to achieve more from a different genre. They achieve this convincingly with 'Tiny Plastic Cup' and the energy of 'Factory'.

'Hymns for the Nonbeliever', in many parts, is well-constructed and an impacting album that proves Kisschasy as a great band far removed from short fuses and teenage angst. The album promises a addicting response and is heavily weighted with rock. They show their progress with more intelligible lyrics and different music without giving up on the bands punk style. Overall, I would highly reccomend this album because it has a bit of everything and it easy to listen to.
